We have always felt there was a lack of outreach, information, and community for young families who are in the first stages of their childs diagnosis. As we continued through the motions and entered into new stages, the need and urgency for these supports became even more evident.
In the summer of 2020, most resources and schools for children on the spectrum chose not to operate due to Covid-19. As summer camps and programs for typical children carried on, we were inspired to develop an integrated summer program for children on the spectrum and their siblings.
As a result, Hudsons Helping Hands was founded.Through donations and volunteers our goal is to provide continuous learning experiences, integrated events, and family support for our local communities.
It is a spectrum, every child is different. We strive to meet and fulfill the needs of all families and their children. Our mission is to remind them that they are not alone. We can do this through providing learning experiences, inclusive events, and family support accessible to all local families with young children on the spectrum.
